I've been in and out of fitness my whole life. I spent several years as a Physical Training coordinator in the US Navy. Needless to say I've tried all the big name programs over the years. When I first came across Joey Atlas I was a touch skeptical only because I had never heard of him.

But after reading his information and understanding his philosophy I decided to give his stuff a try. I was a little disappointed in the production quality of the program but that was quickly erased once I got through my first workout with his Level 1 DVD. His methods are unlike any other program I have ever tried. But what's truly incredible is that almost the entire workout can be done with nothing more than a floor mat. Add an exercise ball and a pantry step and you've got everything covered.

As a whole, the program is progressive - so it's appropriate for various levels of users. I've referred many people to Joey's products and will continue to do so. Despite the 'non-gym' approach - this program delivers excellent results. As a fitness person and instructor I highly recommend this program to any woman who wants to improve her lower body.

My company produces and ships this product for Joey, and after years of shipping hundreds of these DVDs each week I decided to give it a try. This workout is different from all of the other DVDs I have purchased over the years. There is no hype or frills -- it is just like working out with Joey as your personal trainer.

I like that Joey doesn't have music in the background so I can watch him, workout and listen to my own music. I love that the exercises are slow and controlled and you can really feel them working. This is a great product that gives you an awesome workout!

I got this video a little over a year ago, and while I used it a lot at first, I can't even stand to turn it on now. It is incredibly boring. It is a very pricey DVD for what you get. The production quality is very low. It is just the instructior in the gym against a plain white wall. There is an outlet to look at if you get tired of hearing Joey talk. No music, and no real pace. He'll do 10 sets one time, 7 the next, and I'm constantly having to pause the DVD so I can get as many in as I need. Instead of making a video he needs to write a book with all the moves on paper, because they are good moves. It really does work and if I could stand to look at Joey Atlas for 3 seconds, I would work out longer. The only way I can run this DVD is to crank up some music and mute the TV. After a lot of pausing and fast-forwarding (he talks a lot) a half hour later I can really feel it, but it is so tedious and uninspiring I just don't ever watch it. For the price, I expected music and other people and personality. No matter how effective a workout may be, if it's boring, no one wants to watch it.

I purchased this DVD about 4 weeks ago after giving up my gym membership due to the high price. Its like having your own personal trainer and I look forward to seeing Joey every other day. If you buy from his website you also get an inspiring e mail from him every day. Not sure what you will get if you buy from Amazon. I have ordered his upper body DVD as well and look forward to getting that soon. Theres no frills here - just a great DVD. You can't go wrong.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I like the personal trainer feel. The reminders on breathing, posture, going at your own rate and no music. All the attention is focused on body movement. It's been perfect.
The workout is hard and leaves me sore afterward but feeling stronger each time.
